Mike Onesko formed the Blindside Blues Band in the early 1990’s with bassist Greg Chaisson and drummer Jeff Martin formerly of Jake E. Lee’s “Badlands”. Their mission statement was to create harder-edged blues music in the tradition of late 60’s/ early 70’s blues-rock artists such as Cream, Mountain, and Robin Trower.
Blindside Blues Band
Backed by the former Badlands rhythm section of drummer Jeff Martin and bassist Greg Chaisson, vocalist/guitarist Mike Onesko and guitarist Scott Johnson blast blues/rock tracks reminiscent of such classic acts as Cream, Jimi Hendrix and Gary Moore. After the band finished their four record deal with Blues Bureau, they went on to record a series of records for a number of other labels and released their last record in 2010 which is a favorite among Amazon.com’s blues customers.
